anyone know a good program to make avi files with?

working on an animation for my first ever WB, KylieWB1, I have the animation in 3 formats: a 60 layer psd, a gif, and individual frame files in psd. I'm looking for a good, free if possible, program to convert/edit an avi file. any suggestions?

Preview of animation.. its big now, 700+Kb, but just so I can work on the detail..
its nowhere near complete.
