This is not meant to replace keyboards. Don't expect to see it for your home computer.

Voice will replace keyboards.

This "replaces" (conceptually) the mouse. The human hand is far more flexible and responsive than a mouse.

As always with concept models, there is some way to go, of course. In the same way concept cars are demonstrators for future models a few years ahead. However by the time the touch screen technology (which is all this is) takes another step forward, as it surely will, voice recognition will be a mature technology - then life is going to get very interesting   

20 years ago people were going nuts in pubs and bars playing "tennis" with a moving dot and sliding underscore in table top sized screens - now graphics has moved on somewhat into 3D games.

It'll replace the home PC for sure, and it will not be that far away.

I disagree . . try using Voice in a busy office or with music playing.  I'll stick to my keyboard.

I disagree here too.  As a second "screen" where my mouse is now it has petential.  But I don't think people want to reach out and touch their screen or reach across a flat tabletop to do things all the time.

Ahhh that old cheastnut - well even their shades got replaced with others, let alone the suitcase they had for a radio
